UP College of Medicine and Harvard explore shared interests in primary care
UPCM and Harvard colleagues discussed primary care, workforce development, and research informed by local implementation experience.
Representatives from the UP College of Medicine and Harvard Medical School met on 5 May 2026 to discuss shared interests in primary care, medical education, and public health systems.
The Harvard delegation was led by David Golan and included David Duong, Todd Pollack, and Bethany Holt. UPCM representatives included Dean Charlotte Chiong, Associate Dean Ricardo Quintos, Associate Professor Janus Ong, and Community Health Development Program Director Anthony Cordero.
Topics included workforce development, digital and remote learning, implementation science, and integrated care for chronic conditions. The exchange drew on ongoing implementation work in the Philippines and highlighted shared interests in people-centered primary care.
These areas connect with StITCH’s work to support frontline teams and bring hepatitis services closer to communities.
