This research area focuses on surveillance, diagnostics, and management of hepatitis B and C, including co-infection with HIV. Current work includes biomarker validation for chronic hepatitis B and longitudinal research on liver health among Filipinos living with HIV.
Key activities include assessment of diagnostic markers, sample sharing and biomarker analysis with international partners, hepatic assessment in HIV cohorts, and health systems research on birth-dose vaccination, test-and-treat programs, and linkage-to-care models.
