Liver Disease Registry and Biobank

Building national infrastructure for liver disease data, biospecimens, registry systems, and ethically governed research platforms.

This research area anchors the UPM Liver Study Group’s research ecosystem through a national biorepository and clinical data registry for liver disease. It supports ethically governed biospecimen collection and standardized longitudinal data for priority liver conditions, including hepatitis B, hepatitis C, MASLD, alcohol-related liver disease, cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma.

Key activities include developing governance frameworks, standard operating procedures, training programs, and pilot implementation with partner institutions.
