This research area supports the discovery and validation of molecular diagnostics and prognostic tools for liver cancer, particularly hepatocellular carcinoma.
Current work includes liquid biopsy-based biomarker research to improve prognostication and treatment monitoring. Key activities include recruitment of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma, collection of liquid biopsy samples, multi-modal biomarker analysis, and integration of biobank and registry data to correlate biomarkers with clinical outcomes.
